Ballet Virginia’s season kicks off with a mix of contemporary and classical works. These performances will feature choreography by Lydia Roberts Coco, BV’s Artistic Director, as well as Dwight Rhoden, Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Complexions Contemporary Ballet. Mr. Rhoden was hailed as “one of the most sought-after choreographers” by the New York Times. Rhoden’s work, “Evermore” and Coco’s work “Bolero” are sure to delight. These wonderful and diverse artists will leave a lasting impression on the audience with their passion and artistry. Prepare to be thoroughly captivated!

Ballet Virginia’s winter performances bring a mix of contemporary and classical dance with a focus on diversity and hope. This transcendent program will also feature audience favorites “FIVE” and “A Seed of Faith”. “FIVE” is Coco’s work of historical significance which tells the moving story of the Central Park Five. GENERAL AUDITIONS: Sign-ups open 30 minutes prior to the start of auditions and auditionees will be seen on a first-come, first-serve basis. 

ARTIST MEMBER EARLY REGISTRATION: Z Artist Members may sign up in advance to be first in line for auditions during either time slot. 

AEA AUDITION APPOINTMENTS: Equity members may call to request an appointment time during Equity-only hours, Saturday from 10am-12pm. Alternate appointment times are available on request. 

VIRTUAL SUBMISSIONS: Video submissions are open Tuesday, Aug. 1 to Sun, Aug 13. Submissions must be received before 11:59pm EST on Sunday. Please submit your audition form along with a 5-minute video including a brief slate, one prepared side, one 2-minute monologue, and one 32-bar song cut(opt.)
