GENERAL RACE INFO

No need to wait until January 1st to start planning your New Year's Resolutions (*closes eyes and manifests "2021 will be amazing, 2021 will be amazing..."*) The Z is giving you the opportunity to support the arts, get involved in the community, and work towards a fitness goal! Sounds like the triple threat of a resolution, don't you think?

I Run For The Z is Zeiders American Dream Theater's first virtual 5K event that combines creativity and competition to support the local arts community! We couldn't do what we do without you, our incredible patrons, and the challenges of this past year have allowed us to find new ways to stay connected with you all!

Step up to the starting line, this 5K is on your time! You can run (or walk) your 5K any time between February 14th and February 28th. Registration begins November 15th and ends February 28th, so turn on that Rocky motivational music because you have plenty of time to prepare! Speaking of running in thematic sweats, we hear February is pretty cold 'round these parts, lucky for you all participants will receive a signature 5K fleece pullover. *Early bird registration ends February 1st for guaranteed sizes.*

Now, perhaps you're someone who breaks out into a deep belly laugh at the mention of running for something other than armageddon. Not to fret, there are several ways to get involved!

If you would like to run, you can either purchase a packet for in-person pick up for $40 + tax, or have it mailed to you for $45 + tax. We are also accepting donations for those who want to support the cause while keeping both feet firmly planted on the ground. Hey, we're in the arts; this is a no judgment zone!

AMBASSADOR

Want to take your Z Pride to the next level? You can become an Ambassador for the event and have your race fees waved or refunded when 5 of your friends register with your own unique code. Setting philanthropic goals in 2021? Let us help you out! You can also become a Fundraiser and also have your race fees waved or refunded when you raise a minimum of $250. Fundraising runs from November 15th through March 15th. All Ambassadors and Fundraisers will be entered to win prizes for going the extra mile! (Get it? *wink wink*)

CHALLENGE

As if running a 5K wasn't enough of a challenge, we've got 2 more for you to enjoy! Participate in either of these two fun challenges and you could win free show tickets:
  1. Create an artistic 5k route! Pre-plan your route in a unique way and you could run for free. Click here for inspiration
  2. Make sure to time your run because big man Bart, the Z's very own Artistic Director and cycle/runner extraordinaire, thinks no one could beat his time! If you're up for the challenge, we'd love to rub it in his multi-talented face.
Submit your routes and times by midnight, February 28th to be eligible for prizes!
