Bass and voice jazz duo “Liz & Brydge” have been performing all over the Coastal Virginia region since December 2018. They’ve cultivated a distinct sound that exclusively features Chris Brydge on the upright bass and Liz Terrell on vocals, and are sure to captivate as Brydge lays down swingin’ bass lines and passionate grooves while Liz soars over top with sensuous tones and expressive power.

The Z’s Artistic Director, Bart Kuebler, took his musical, Moonshiner, to the 2019 Chicago Musical Theatre Festival in February 2019. We will stream the performance from that festival right here on our website and on our Facebook page.

In the closing days of October, 1952, an up-and-coming cabaret singer pays a visit to a washed-up private eye on the outskirts of Chicago. What he discovers about her mild-mannered husband and his peculiar relationship with orbital bodies leads to even wilder revelations about each of them, and to a moment of truth with an unexpected visitor.
