Zeiders American Dream Theater invites the community to come together for this FREE Community Event to draw strength and healing through the power of The Arts.  Interactive arts activities as well as community arts & therapy resources will be offered in The Z’s Main Stage Lobby.

Chantae’s music blends the exploratory sounds of Jazz with the feel good vibes of Soul, which makes for a mixture that is quite enticing. It is her heart’s desire to simply inspire, uplift and encourage the lives of others through music.

The Virginia African American Cultural Center and The Z present a concert performance of Cross That River, featuring an extraordinary score that mixes jazz, blues, country, and R&B. Award Winning Jazz artist Alan Harris's new musical tells the untold story of the Black West and aims to empower Americans with an inspiring story of freedom. The unsettled West of the 1860s provides a new life and new dreams for Blue, a run-away slave, who escapes from slavery to Texas to become one of America’s first Black Cowboys. This compelling tale of freedom integrates fiction with historical fact, and each song presents a different page in this complicated chapter of American History.

The show is a celebration of the Norfolk-Kitakyushu Sister City Relationship and celebrates 60 years of popular music including Classic rock, pop, soul, Motown and more.
