The Z is a creative incubator for new works, emerging artists, and unique artistic experiences. We accept submissions for new theater, dance, visual arts, music, and performance arts. Submissions can be for completed new works and performances or for works-in-progress seeking development resources. Project proposals that include engagement with or connection to our larger community are of particular interest.

*Submissions to The Z’s season must allow for at least 6 months of planning time before the proposed event date. Looking for something sooner? Rent our theater!
Theater
- Playwrights: Submit online or email us with:
- A copy of your script
- A brief explanation of the specific growth or next step you are looking for from production at The Z. (Ex. a script-focused workshop with rewrites, a staged reading with rehearsals to work on the script, feedback from audiences reactions etc.)
- Any production timelines, team members or additional details already in place
- Directors and Designers: Email us your theater resume and a link to your portfolio or website.
