UPAC is beyond excited to share that our signature production, Black Girl Magic, has been invited to perform at the Atlanta Black Theatre Festival this Labor Day Weekend! You may remember Black Girl Magic from The Z Fringe Festival in 2023 or The Z’s Main Stage Family Time Series in 2025 and 2026. This opportunity is a dream come true for our 27-member cast and crew, and an incredible opportunity to showcase the talent and stories of Hampton Roads on a national stage.
Black Girl Magic is more than just a performance; it’s a celebration of Black womanhood, resilience, and joy. Through music, dance, and storytelling, we aim to uplift voices that deserve to be heard. For many of our artists, this will be their first time performing at a national festival and traveling with a professional production. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will inspire their artistic journeys for years to come.
