Virginia Beach – The Zeiders American Dream Theatre is thrilled to announce the launch of its much-anticipated 2024 Summer Camp Programs, designed to inspire and nurture the next generation of young performers. 2 camps will be presented with UPAC (Underground Performing Arts Collective) and Plan B Comedy.

This year’s programs promise a dynamic blend of creativity, skill-building, and fun, catering to children and teens with a passion for the performing arts.

July 8th-19th launches the Creative Expressions Performing Arts Camp, the ultimate summer experience for arts-enthusiasts in 3rd to 8th grade to explore their talents in music, dance, and drama, and collaborate to develop an original performance.

From vocal exercises and choreography combinations to improvisation, acting games, and team-building exercises, every day will be filled with excitement and discovery.

Campers will work to develop an original student-created production titled “Our Voice Matters”, on The Z Main Stage, Saturday, July 20th, at 11:00 am and 2:30 pm.

The Kids Comedy Camp will launch August 5-9. Campers will learn the basics of improv comedy and stage presence through group exercises and games. The week-long camp will culminate in a group performance. The class is led by Jason Kypros, a founding member of The Z’s resident comedy company Plan B Comedy.

Registration for The Z Summer Camp is now open, with limited spots available. For more information and to register, please visit www.thez.org/summercamp or contact The Z Theatre Company at 757-499-0317.
