The Madness Begins, will feature coaches, and award winning writers, helping to preview all things college basketball, with a particular focus on the ACC, CAA, MEAC and Conference USA;

  • Seth Davis – National college basketball analyst for CBS Sports. Managing Editor of The Athletic College Basketball, and 2-time New York Times best-selling author for books on college basketball. Davis will be appearing via satellite.
  • Jeff Jones – Head Coach, Old Dominion University Men’s Basketball. Entering his 27th season as a Division I head coach. 471 wins and 12 postseason appearances in his career as head coach at Virginia, American, and Old Dominion.
  • Robert Jones – Head Coach, Norfolk State University Men’s Basketball. Entering his 6th season as a Division I head coach. Has led Norfolk State to the postseason in 4 of his 5 seasons.
  • David Teel – Sports columnist for The Daily Press, and VSHF Media Inductee. 11-time Virginia Sportswriter of the Year, Teel covers the ACC for The Daily Press
  • Doug Doughty – Sports columnist for The Roanoke Times and VSHF Media Inductee. 3-time Virginia Sportswriter of the Year. Doughty covers the University of Virginia and the ACC for The Roanoke Times.
  • Ed Miller – Sportswriter for the Virginian Pilot. Miller covers Old Dominion University Athletics for the Pilot.

The event will be hosted by WTKR News Channel 3’s Sports Director, Adam Winkler. Winkler will moderate a panel discussion and Q&A sessions with the audience. Come ready to hear how far your favorite team can make it in March, and bring your questions!
