SERVICE ANIMALS:
The Z maintains the following policies for Service Animals, following guidance in the American for Disabilities Act and Virginia law. Emotional support animals are included in The Z's definition of service animals.
All service animals must be clearly identified as a service animal or emotional support animal by a harness, collar, blaze orange leash, backpack, vest, or jacket.
Service animals must remain under the control of their handlers. Under the ADA, service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless the individual’s disability prevents using these devices or these devices interfere with the service animal’s safe, effective performance of tasks. In that case, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls.
If a service animal becomes disruptive and is out of control and the handler does not take effective action to control the animal, staff may request that the animal be removed from the premises.
Unlike ADA service animals, patrons with emotional support animals may be asked to make accommodations for performers, staff or patrons with allergic reactions or extreme fear of animals. Accommodation examples include being asked to change seats or remain in areas defined by staff for emotional support animals. The Z will endeavor to inform patrons of artist-related restrictions for emotional support animals in the ticketing information, prior to purchase.
