Local country music artist Roberta Lea’s music video featuring Virginia Beach’s Moxy Hotel and other local scenes debuted on Country Music Television last week.
The music video for her song “Girls Trip” “brings to life “the picturesque backdrop of Virginia Beach, a place that has deeply influenced Roberta’s musical and personal identity,” according to a press release from a marketing firm.
Lea’s video shows her driving up to The Moxy, with a colorful Sunsations store in the background. The video is primarily shots of Lea and friends dancing in the hotel’s various bars, Lea dancing and singing along the boardwalk and a series of Lea’s different “Girl Trip” personas prowling the halls of the hotel.
“Our city is perfectly showcased by Roberta Lea,” Virginia Beach Mayor Bobby Dyer said in the press release announcing the music video.
