Virginia Beach, VA – Get ready for an evening of non-stop laughter as Little Theatre of Virginia Beach brings the wildly popular comedy Noises Off to the stage. Written by acclaimed British playwright Michael Frayn, this fast-paced farce pulls back the curtain on the chaotic, side-splitting world of a theatre company desperately trying to keep their show from falling apart.
Widely regarded as one of the funniest plays ever written, Noises Off follows a troupe of actors touring a flop called Nothing On. As tempers flare, props go missing, and relationships unravel, audiences are treated to a brilliantly choreographed comedy of errors—both onstage and behind the scenes. What begins as a simple farce quickly spirals into comedic mayhem, revealing that sometimes the real drama happens offstage.
“Noises Off is a love letter to theatre at its most chaotic—where everything that can go wrong does, and the magic somehow still shines through,” says director Jeff Seneca. Mr. Seneca also directed the sidesplitting 2023 production of A Play That Goes Wrong and the witty Neil Simon comedy 45 Seconds From Broadway in 2025.
Audiences can expect rapid-fire physical comedy, impeccable timing, and a talented local cast delivering unforgettable performances. With its clever structure and escalating chaos, Noises Off promises a night of laughter that builds from chuckles to full-blown belly laughs.
Don’t miss your chance to experience the comedy that has left audiences around the world in stitches.
