Core Theatre Ensemble brings to life this eerie and ethereal short story by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. Follow a woman's descent into madness while being confined to her room as prescribed by her doctor husband. As the story unfolds she begins to see women in the wallpaper and that fixation spirals destructively. Full of music and choreography, this haunting production has toured to international theater festivals in Canada and Lithuania where it was jury recognized for outstanding choreography and use of ensemble voice.

Creative teams are the real heart of Proteus Festival. The teams are given a prompt on Thursday evening. They create new works in their chosen discipline– music, theater, or film– and debut their new creations on Sunday afternoon on the Main Stage. Each discipline has a Lead Artist, working professionals in the fields, to act as mentor to the teams.
